I’m Biased

about my Bias Shawl.

When these kits came in at the beginning of the summer, we sold half almost immediately. I picked one up myself because I couldn’t resist, and I am so thrilled with the result. Soft, cozy and sophisticated, this goes with everything in my wardrobe (okay, so I mostly wear black). The yarn is a treat too!

Check out the irresistible original packaging: looks like a challah loaf! deeelish!

Happy Mothers Day everyone~my Mom taught me to knit so I will be thinking of her as I often do when I knit, but even more so on Mother’s Day: we are open 12-3 if you wanna come sit and knit for a little while too.

Relax, enjoy and eat bon bons. Or in this case knit them: pictured here, Bon Bon Shawl, a Christel Seyfarth kit  (available by special order) with 16 yummy colors, super stranding and steeking, and the most delicous result imagineable.

Sweet!

This was not me today: basking in a dreamy slumber. I went to bed late and woke early all because of my latest project. I’ve been working on a stranded project that requires steeking. Very little by way of a pattern and several false starts later I fnally got a rhythm going and I *think* I’m doing it right. (Do you know how cumbersome it is to rip out stranded knitting–and rip I did, quite a few times). It’s the colors and the final product that have me in a compulsive knitting frenzy  but after all that knitterly effort I am much inspired by this photo. Time to put the needles down for a bit.

Another day I shall knit again.
